John 15:12-15

There are people we encounter who are difficult to love.  They test our patience and our compassion.  Jesus paints a picture for us of what love should look like, reminding us He is the source of love.  Jesus does not just tell us to love overs, He shows us what that looks like.  Jesus loved us by laying down His life for us even though we are hard to love and undeserving.  As Jesus has loved us, we are called to love others.  Jesus’ love is not based on our behavior and is not conditional.  In loving other, especially when it is difficult,  we reflect Jesus and the abundance of love He has for all people.
