John 15:9-11

We all have walked through seasons of sadness, anxiety, fear and troubles.  This is the truth of living in a fallen world. Yet  Jesus reminds us that the joy rooted in God’s love is deeper than anything we experience in this world.  “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:11)  The joy of being a child of God does not dim when we walk through hard times or seasons of darkness.  In fact, the joy of Jesus shines even brighter in our hearts because the love of Jesus is steady and unchanging. The same love that God has for His Son is the same love that holds us.  That deep, powerful love carries us through any trials we  may face in this life until the day we are welcomed into the gate of heaven.
