John 8:1-11

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) The consequence of sin is death and eternal separation from God. God’s judgement is clear- we are guilty.  But Jesus does something astounding and willing bears our sin and its penalty at the cross so that we don’t have to.  Forgiveness is costly and it is paid for in full by Christ.  “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1).  Now we have been given the Holy Spirit to convict us of our sin, strengthen our faith and help us live a new life as God’s forgiven people.
