John 7:14-44

“I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to Him who sent Me. You will seek Me and you will not find Me. Where I am you cannot come.”  Jesus speaks these words knowing what lies ahead. He knows this is all unfolding according to God’s plan. He also knows that after His work is complete, He will return to the Father out of reach of His enemies.  But Jesus offers forgiveness and love for His people who thirst.  Jesus’ promise for those who believe in Him is that He will give them His Holy Spirit after He returns to His Father.  Even when Jesus is no longer physically present, He will remain with them through the Holy Spirit.
