John 1:32-42

“Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.”  (Mark 1:10)  The Holy Spirit was present at Jesus’ baptism and that same Spirit is at work in our lives. In Baptism, the Holy Spirit comes to us, claiming us as God’s own children and planting the gift of faith in our hearts. Through God’s Word, the Spirit continues to work in us, strengthening our faith, guiding us, convicting us and reminding us of the promises we have in Christ.  The Holy Spirit is alive and active in your heart, pointing you to Jesus.
