On February 23rd, the Concordia Nebraska University Chamber Choir will be performing at Redeemer as part their annual tour. We will be providing meals for them, and will be looking for some host homes as well. Stay tuned for more information.

 The University Chamber Choir was formed in the fall of 1998 and has gained a reputation for excellence in the singing of chamber vocal music. The 14-voice choir has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. including concert tours to New York, Maryland, Delaware, California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida and throughout the Midwest. The select choir, chosen from the 72-voice University A Cappella Choir, sings a diverse repertoire of sacred and secular choral music from many historical periods. Significant Chamber Works performed by the choir include Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Randall Thompson’s The Peaceable Kingdom, and Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem.

This year’s concert will include compositions by Craig Courtney, Kyle Pederson, Mark Burrows, Dan Forrest, Paul Caldwell & Sean Ivory, Susan Brumfield, David von Kampen, Gwyneth Walker, Doreen Rao, and others.
