H - Healing - assisting others to understand the relationship between faith and health; facilitating wholeness and wellness.

These services help to build on the capacities of the congregation. This role can help strengthen the capacities of individuals and families within the church. Parish Nursing helps members to understand and care for one another in recognition of their relationship with God, faith traditions, themselves, and society as a whole. According to the practice all people are viewed as sacred and are treated with dignity and respect. The Parish Nurse is thus able to help empower people to become more active participants in managing their personal health resources.
