Celebrating Christ by Growing Up, Out, and Together
“Praise the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and fl ute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:1-6
Here at Redeemer, the goal in our worship and music ministries is to give God what He deserves; our highest thanks and praises for all He has done.
There are literally hundreds of faithful and talented people involved in our worship ministry every week...pastors, liturgists, technicians, ushers, elders, communion assistants, altar guild, acolytes, readers, florists, directors, singers, ringers, instrumentalists, pianists, organists... who give of their time and talents, to help us give God what He deserves.
Festival Choir meets under the direction of Sharon Holtan. Members range from high school freshmen to "seasoned citizens". It is a group whose repertoire ranges from simple chorales to more complex octavos. If taking singing to the next level is something you love to do, please fill out a contact form to get involved. The choir rehearses Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and sings Labor Day through Memorial Day.
The Redeemer Praise Band consists of instrumentalists and vocalists who provide musical leadership for the 10:45 a.m. Praise Service in the sanctuary. The Praise Band rehearses Thursday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and the Praise Band vocalists rehearse at 10:00 a.m. Sunday mornings. Rehearsals for the band and vocalists are year-round. The Praise Team is under the direction of Scott Ibe. All vocalists are welcome to sing and instrumentalists are encouraged to audition. Fill out a contact form if you are interested.
Redeemer is blessed with a 3 octave handbell choir, which meets on Monday evenings at 6:15 p.m. under the direction of Scott Ibe. With the variety of music we play in a season, there is always room for another ringer. No experience necessary! Fill out a contact form if you are interested to get involved!
Brass musicians meet occasionally to play for festival occasions throughout the church year. The schedule of worship offerings varied depending on the gifts and availabilities of the musicians, but with french horns, trumpets, trombones, tuba, and timpani, adding another seat is both easy and welcome!
